1. Overview

OpenMD (Chinese name: 速览) is an offline-first iPhone and iPad app for creating, opening, and editing Markdown, HTML, and plain text on this device.

OpenMD does not require an account and does not operate a server that receives your documents.

2. Data OpenMD Does Not Collect

OpenMD does not transmit the Markdown, HTML, or plain text you create, import, or edit, or your in-app settings, to the developer or third parties.

The app does not include advertising, third-party analytics, cross-app tracking, or tracking technologies. It does not request access to your location, contacts, photo library, camera, or microphone.

OpenMD does not sell personal information.

3. Data Stored on Your Device

The following information may be stored locally when you enter or import it in the app:

• Markdown, HTML, and plain-text files in the library
• Copies of files opened from Files or another app
• Language, appearance, accent color, sort order, and export-background preferences
• File modification dates used to display and sort the on-device library

These records are stored in OpenMD's app Documents container and are used only to provide the app's features.

If you open a file from Files or another app, OpenMD copies it into the library. The developer does not receive the original.
